About IngredientBase

We believe you shouldn't have to scroll past someone's life story, dodge pop-ups, and fight auto-playing videos just to find out how to cook dinner.

Every recipe on this site uses clean ingredients — no seed oils, no unnecessary additives, no ultra-processed components. We recommend the healthiest widely-available option for every ingredient, explain why, and tell you what to avoid.

This site has no ads, no sponsored content, and no brand partnerships. Our product suggestions are independent.

Our rules

Complete meals only — every recipe is a full plate. Protein, vegetables, and carbs together. No orphan sides that need three other recipes to make a dinner.

Lean cuts as standard — chicken breast over thighs, trimmed beef, skinless where appropriate. Every recipe is designed for everyday healthy eating, not weekend indulgence.

Three macro profiles — Light (~400 kcal), Balanced (~600 kcal), and Fuelled (~800 kcal). Protein and vegetables stay the same across all three. Fat adjusts slightly between Light and Balanced. Carbs are the main lever between Balanced and Fuelled.

No seed oils, ever — we use extra virgin olive oil, butter, coconut oil, or animal fats depending on the recipe. Never sunflower, rapeseed, canola, soybean, or vegetable oil blends.

Ingredient transparency — tap the + button on any ingredient to see what to buy, why it matters, and what to avoid. We research every recommendation independently.

Why "IngredientBase"?

Because ingredients are the foundation of everything. The same recipe made with cheap refined oil and pre-ground spices tastes and nourishes completely differently than one made with cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil and freshly ground Tellicherry peppercorns. Most recipe sites ignore this entirely. We think it's the most important part.
